Reputedly died in War, buried at Richmond. What TX Units fought in VA? I think it his family of 5 on the indigent family list and there are two on Soldiers and Sailors, one 6th Cav and one 26th Reg Cav. How do I find burial? I have the Civil War Soldiers disc which includes Confederates and access to Ancestry Plus. For a long time I thought he was Union from NE but found the family moved, George Washington Carpenter his brother in 1859, per his widow's pension app. but maybe Benjamin came later being he has a possible son b. NE Sep 1861. Should I order the two on Soldiers and Sailors? If he died will there be enough on his record that I can tell he is the right one? Where is a quick place to order the film?
