Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center, located just minutes north of Bush Intercontinental Airport of Houston, invites all Texas History Re-enactors, young, young-at-heart, seasoned and new, teachers, historians, interpretors, docents and all interested in Texas' history to join us for day filled with learning, followed by a 19th century style barn dance.

Workshops and dance free at charge, but we ask for prior reservation, classroom presentations are followed by a brief potluck style dinner in the homestead and fun barn dance featuring a dance caller. Period dress required for homestead festivities!

2 pm: Anita Howlett, Jones Park Naturalist, History behind Settler Life Demos in easy to swallow sessions
5 pm: potluck in homestead
6 - 8 pm: barn dance
