I was waiting for someone to post info about the Batboat only to find disappointment. For one thing anyone who has been a fan of the 60's Batman Series (such as I) should be able to see that boat is not an original. One of two original Batboats had been turned into a car for driving in parades and shows, the other is MIA(?). Although it is a nice attempt and a sharp looking boat I wouldn't even call it a replica, it's built on a 70's Glastron hull and not a '66 V174 hull. And to be "authenticated" by Barris is so phony, he had absolutely nothing to do with the original Batboat in the first place. The original build was contracted to Glastron to design and build for the movie. I just purchased a 1967 Glastron V174 with the idea of making a "real" replica of my own but I like the boat as is and now think it would be a shame to alter the boat. If it was a total "fixer-upper" then I would but it's in such good condition. Maybe one day if I'm feeling really ambitious. I know it's not a '66 but the '67 V174 is the exact same boat in just a different color. Either one would have to be painted to match the Awsome Batboat.
