I don't know about Bretts cowl in the pic, but the one he makes & sold to me is an actual casted shell made from Adam's original cowl. As for the cowl that was used on RTTBC, those were made by another great cowl maker named W.Wingert & only he can answer that question.

I'm not about to start another 'COWL WAR' & my postings are factors I thought about when I was thinking about buying a cowl. I cowl I ONLY use as a display prop.
True, most cowl replica makers use plastic styrene, etc. but Brett makes them from fiber glast JUST as the original one that AW wore in the series was also made from FG. AWs head is a huge one & it will only fit AW, although custom true fitting cowls can be furnished upon request
When I purchased my cowl, I wanted a true replica w/the same weight & feeling AW had when he put it on or took it off.
