Simply due to the fact that I have read some terrible things on this board and have been a recipiant of "hot" telephone calls becuase I posted my opinion on a public board. One owner was turned in to WB lawyers and even threatened on this board by a "loyal" board member who still lurks. I know people that have spent money on their replicas are tired of the nitpicky non-owners who comment, "the interior isn't right," or the "stripes are too wide." If you don't want to hear constructive criticism they simply don't ask. If you post a picture of a replica then you must expect some negative as well as good. Not all posts are going to be "That looks fantastic." You did in fact make a replica which according to Webster online means: "Main Entry: rep·li·ca So if you are off on some of the so-called details we'll comment. Haven't we all pretty much torn Barris apart because the car doesn't look "exactly" like it used to. It is your car and every owner wants to do things their way but then it becomes a modified replica at that point, doesn't it? Modelers are the same way. Indeed we all like to hear good comments about our work, but you're going to hear some negative as well. Just enter one into a show sometime! I share comments both good and bad, back and forth with someone whom I consider the best Batmobile modeler around. I think if everyone would just learn simple respect for each other you might attract the owners back. Just my thoughts for whatever they are worth.

When and if I get a replica project started I won't post on a public board. My intentions would be to use the car for ar shows, charity work and simply for fun.
