What do you want to know? See?
I've posted about everything I have and continue to receive, so I'm not sure about the timing of your inquiry. It may be chance you've missed it?
Do I have the keys? YES! Does my car run? YES!
Does Mark Towle still have it? YES!
Mark is a pretty savvy businessman. Everything we agreed to is undercontract including photo updates.
My contract called for the build to conclude in June of this year. It's taken longer because I have requested specific changes outside the language of our contract for new/improved items:
IE: Steering wheel as in the #1
IE: Seats as in the #1
I have found some parts sources on my own which Mark has graciously accomodated as part of my build. Is may car late per the contract? Yes. Is it Mark's fault? NO. Everything is right on schedule for the changes I've requested.
One thing no one thinks about is that as incredible as Mark is, and as limited as the resources are, Mark really is the ONLY one who makes/builds his own currently.
Since my own build called for a build as close to a REAL car as possible to avoid the "kit" or "replica" look, the workmanship detail is more labor intensive. I found a Co. online who will make LED tail lamps in any style. I did everything THAT guy wanted, and 3 weeks later I get word he can't do this or can't do that. It's B/SH*T, but that's life sometimes. Thankfully except for my time, I haven't lost a nickle with that loser (Lambert LED Tailamps in TN).
Haven't heard from Don much lately. Doug Hines is reportedly working on kit parts and I continue to wait on a now long overdue rear canopy for my own car.
Things just take time when they fall under the general heading of "custom".
So Jeff, what would you like to see or know today?
