It is pretty well common knowledge on this board Griff that Bill Cushenberry was the man that actually handled the air hammer to shape the batmobile from the 55 Futura concept car.. and pretty well did it on verbal instructions (as is my understanding) from George Barris. George (according to many) took his instructions from the studio on what they wanted.... but make no mistake without George (having the Futura handy as it was) and guiding the project.. there would not be the icon we have today! Hope this helps...Bill is not mentioned as much as he should but it is well known that his contribution was pretty significant on the project. Ciao for now...Greg in TO
