One hyphenated word my friend: beta reader. A beta reader is someone you share your enjoyment of a fandom, and reads over your stuff making suggestions on how to improve it. Making sure everyone is IC (In character.) as well as going over spelling and grammar Bowen VHunter and Cassy have been acting as beta readers for my fics and they've really helped out. There are a couple Beta readers offering their services for SH22 fics on Fanfiction.net. Or you could ask someone here or another friend.
