Hi Ruby,
I don't know if this will help you or not, but I was looking for obit/funeral information on a person from 1919. I went to the Hornell Library, downstairs. They had books with information via the year. I found the person and information as to the cost of the funeral etc. Another source might be the Roch. Library if you have the yr and date.
