CAVEAT Mr. Waki, GM of SIWA indicated amongst other actions that lodging of a caveat over the said area is the immediate action. CAVEATABLE INTEREST In the mean time, am not aware of any legal or equitable interest which SIWA had created with regards to the said area. But I believe that SIWA and SOLBREW must have an understanding or arrangement which I believe capable of giving rise to any caveatable interest over this area. This is a question of facts which I believe SIWA has to disclose. ONUS ON SIWA If SIWA establishes any caveatable interest that include a contract, trust/beneficiary relationship, lease or any other legal and equitable interests etc, then it can apply to Court and seek registration of caveat over the said area. This caveat will only run for a short time, until this issue is sorted out with SOLBREW. 2nd OPTION If SIWA fails to establish any caveatable interest, SIWA and the Ministry of Health may request AG to take out an application on the basis that it is in the best interest of the members of the public to drink safe and clean water from the said source. Hence, the Court must make order in terms of registering a caveat over the said area. This caveat is to stop SOLBREW and the whole world of whatever activities that they have been doing. In any case, for the sake of drinking safe and clean water, SIWA and SOLBREW must sort out this matter.

Interesting to hear that SIWA water catchment area near Panadina ridge has been interfered with human wastes. This is the results of increasing population residing near and within that ridge.
