Posted by Hiuare There is no formal report that examined how an individual voter within east Are’Are decides who to vote for during the past elections. Though this is a personal choice issue, for the interest of 2010 intending candidates, this issue must be noted. For the past elections, the key indicator that decides a winning candidate always premised on a candidate that has a strong blood ties (half blood) between the Masupa/Hutahe zone and AAC ward. Sir Peter, Hunuehu and Warakohia fall under this category as a result in the past elections all of them won at different terms. However, due to the imbalance of developments that exist between the two wards, some candidates who do not fall under this indicator have contested in the previous national elections which they were unsuccessful. Though all campaign managers have different strategies of how to lure the minds of voters within East Are'Are during any elections, the existing indicator that winning candidate always a person who has strong blood ties (half blood) between the two wards, still remain as a strong factor. There are few who fall under this half blood indicator, which intending 2010 candidates ought to note. Amongst are John Hauirae, Jacob Houtarau, Martin Hoasihere around Masupa zone, James Porakari and Willie Horoto at Hautahe Village. For AAC ward, none is emerging at the moment except the current member, Mr. Hunuehu. In a nutshell, whoever within AAC ward intends to contest the 2010 East Are’Are national seat, that candidate ought to fight against few that I have mentioned above or others that fall under this half blood category.
