Posted by Hiuare on 11/7/2006, 4:24 pm Dr. D. Sikua had revealed to his constituents the RCDF grant for 2006. How about the grants for Southern region? Do our members prepared to use the grants for its right purpose? Needless to ask further questions, the answer rests upon our individual members' decisions. We should thank our past members for distributing this fund for its right purpose. Also, there are obstacles that continue to cripple this fund. Should our members identify those obstacles, and address how those obstacles be dealt with by the Government and its aid partners? But it is absurd to learn that the past Government did not provide any analysis report on the successes and failures of RCDF in Solomon Islands in order to give us an outlook of how this fund would serve its purpose for the next four years. Should the newly elected Government look into this matter since its foremost priority is to see that all the elected members to practise good accounting and auditing practices in relation to this fund? We need series of inter-related urban and rural based developments to take its due course in our Constituencies. Part of this is the establishment of the RCDF.
