I agree the alienation was not intended to extinguish the customary land rights of customary landowners. 4. Landowners should know that they have to understand the due process of this alienation. It involves give and take dealings. 5. Landowners should allow the Commissioner of land, and the developer to have absolute control over the allocated land during the life span of the investment. 6. This implies that landowners should be patient and open minded. Waiting for quick money from the project is not the priority here. Landowners should focus more on other developments that associated with this project. Employment, building of schools, roads, clinics and sporting facilities are few. 7. Perhaps state should invoke more awareness programs with the landowners on this alienation deal in order for landowners to understand that at this critical times they should allow the state and the developer to have absolute control over the said project. 8. Once the project is financially sound, landowners can invoke other commercial arrangments with the state and concerned developers. This is where our commercial banks have to come in offering different types of loans purposely for landowners' investments coupled with Government subsidy. 8. We don't want land dispute to pull down this project.
