Without prejudicial, I urge the 3 House of Chiefs in Are'Are to engage in wider consultations and discussions and task the issue of systematic recordings of all arataa, tetee etc as landowning units within are'are land tenure system, with given land boundaries.
Once that is done, the next issue is how can these landowning units exist, manage and control its land resources when dealing with development. This is the critical passage since are'are tenure and introduced laws integrate and consolidate each other. For sure Chris suggestion to discuss the issue of systematic registration will come in
In the mean time, I am urging the 3 hse of chiefs to push for a statutory legislation to recognize, protect and administer are'are customary land tenure system
