Hey there this is Kristen's mum Megan, My daughters name is - Kristen Ha'ukerea Houkuru. Some of you may remeber her last posting back when she was 11 years old. We want to than those of you who nresponded, but for some reason we have lost contact.
Kristen was born in Rockhampton Queensland, Australia on Feb 22nd, 1994. I am her mother Megan and her dad is 'MARTIN TOME HAIKAU NAMOHANI'AI HOUKURU'.
Both of us studied at the University of Central QLD, her dad Martin studied Engineering. We found out that Martin's family are of AreAre people in solomon islands, he was born at the Rohinari Clinic in Malaita Solomon Islands.
Well a update about Kristen She jsut graduated Grade 8 at Alhambra Traditional School IN Phoenix, Arizona U.S.A. She graduated on the Principal Honor Roll, a member of the Jr NAtionao Honor Society which she was inducted into, A member of the Student COuncil, Volleyball & Basketball team, Year book committee, Scholastic Bowl Team,She definately takes after her dad. She will be starting HIgh School in August Gr. 9 and is excited about it.
We have stayed in constant contact with Patrick who is studying Education in New York City USA/ He has been awesome. We also have heard from Martin and now know the following...
She has the following half brothers ( Tinodave Houkuru (8 yrs) and Tinofrancis Akomane (7 yrs)) and her three half sisters ( Imelda Masiala (5 yrs), Imakulata Orunai'a (3 yrs) and Franceska Arapai'a (1 yr). WOW.. Congrat's MArtin...
We would still like to know about her other half brother who is only a few month younger then she is who either lives in Australia still or in P.N.G with his mother Wendy.
We also know Martin works on an Ausaid funded road project on Malaita.
The last correspondence I recieved from Martin was on 06/15/08... .
Megan, I am suffering since November severe life threatening heart illness, and would really love and appreciate if you could help me out by making Kristen available to communicate directly with me. I 'd love to have her for any of her school holidays, especially to meet my dad (her grandpa) now 92 years old.
I AM WORRIED AS I RESPONDED AND HAVE NOT RECIEVED A RESPONSE. SO IF ANYONE KNOWS HIM OR CAN FIND HIM PLEASE UPDATE ME. I AM WORRIED.
