An Australian businessman by the name of "GRAEME STACE" has registered a fishing company in SI under Solomon Islands Marine Resource Ltd and his application has approved by Foreign Investment Board to carry out its activity.
Honoa Port in East AreAre has been identified as one of the potential area for its offshore base.
We once meet with this gentleman in Honiara following William Rutapiri's arrangement his counterpart or someone who is working close with him.
I would like to ask any wantok in Australia to approach the Australian Security Council to find about this gentleman about his background and so forth.
His story is very interesting..All he told us was he is a shareholder of a subdiary fishing company in Australia/NZ.Our next meeting with or any of rep is schedule for October 2003.Perhaps after that they will travel to Honoa for survey. According to the FIB application the fishing acticity will only focus on Tuna using Perseiners and Tuna line vessel.
