Posted by Hoa'au and team We are a group of students at USP doing a project basically to answer the question: What indigenous thinking from the Solomon Islands culture(s) (indicate which culture you are discussing) should be included within the components outlining the work of NPC? The components are summarized below. We would like to know your views. Component 1: To continue the work initiated by the PMC. ·Building back peoples confidence on Guadalcanal and Malaita. Component 3: Independent advice to Minister responsible for peace and reconciliation. ·Have public consultation with government and different community groups. ·Collecting illegal weapons and explosives from communities.
·Assisting police.
Component 2: Create awareness amongst Solomon Islanders.
·Revised curriculum in schools to include national unity agenda.
·To have exchange programs.
·Sports carnival between provinces.
·Consult youth and womens groups.
·Monthly reports of finances and given to the above mentioned Minister
