I am going to lodge a complaint and send it to the email he provided. Let's all do this...

Karen,
I was sent some of the astonishing messages you got from those cretins at
Ipswitch Council (all this dog stuff gets passed to me, it seems). It's
very embarrassing and I am shocked by the replies you got to a, no doubt,
sensible and factual letter. Queensland is a state of savages, equivalent
to your old deep south (I hope you are not in Alabama!), and it's
government long has been a scandal to the rest of the country. Even so, I'm
shocked by those brutes. I expect them to be cretins in relation to dog
policy, and what you have seen has proved that, but I didn't expect such
brutal rudeness.
I suggest that you lodge a formal complaint (with the full correspondence)
to the state Minister for Local Government, Nita Cunningham
localgovernment&planning@ministerial.qld.gov.au
and to the Queensland Local Government Association webmaster@lgaq.asn.au
which is the peek body. Formal complaints will be investigated, and these
clowns may suffer at least loss of reputation and reprimand. It all could
hit the media too. I believe it has been sent to the paper, but a complaint
needs to come from you.
As you can see, the dog question has become crazy here, in some states. All
this for no reason - it's not as if a bunch of toddlers has been killed or
anything, but the issue has been blown up out of nothing. Some politicians
are open to information and sense (the govt in New South Wales, for
instance, and opposition in Victoria), but many simply are not open to
reason, information or anything that doesn't suit their ignorance and
prejudices. Your correspondents are perhaps the worst examples.
Are you a bulldog fancier, or a general dog person?
