Posted by Diane on April 16, 2002, 10:35 pm So... thoughts, advice, help me help her work through these issues please so that both dogs can get on with living long and happy lives I hope.
Okay here's the story, someone I know has a min fox terrier male that goes all over the place, even on its own bedding and food bowl she has told me. Soon they are moving into temporary rental accomodation and they can't have the dog doing this, besides she's getting a heap of pressure from non dog loving friends with comments like "Have you STILL got that dog".
She came very close to having him PTS but then couldn't do it, I don't blame her (after all I'm not the one living with the piddle maker) but I DO want to try and help if I can (and if others can offer advice or suggestions, even messages of support or "I've been through that, don't despair" for me to pass on to her - all appreciated!). I know I need to priovide more details about the dog and his circumstances but I have to wait for her to call back as I got carried away talking to her and wrote her name down but not her number (stupid me but that's just typical for me, LOL). I expect to hear from her somtime this week as there is another dog (Boxer that I placed with her last year) that she has asked for some guidance with. With the Boxer she's worried about prey drive and what will happen when they do finally get their new home (on acerage in a rural area) built, how will Tyler get on (remember farmers can shoot dogs here if they suspect they may be worrying stock).
