To date much of the advice I've received has been that a deaf dog is best going into a home with a hearing dog already there BUT in this case it sounds like our boy preffers to be an 'only dog' (as there was another dog in the one home trialed so far). Kids, big question because the home I may (big *might*) be looking at for him has two of the ctitters LOL. But that will pend my assessment of the dog (and children too) and as much advice as I can pass on if it comes to pass. The fence issue is vital of course! And two weeks you think, (wiping my brow here as I think that may be all my other dogs and hubby can put up with), good, I've been told perhaps a month by others and I can do that (I hope) but it would be really hard on all of us. I would still be happy to work with the new owners once pooch goes there of course (geography allowing). Thanks Karen, you're a God send, I will have some more questions for you in the not too far distant future (re setting up our own rescue group formally here) so don't you dare go away!
I will need you!!
