I read your message and I noticed you said to think of a word like "GOOD TOILET" to tel the dog so they can associate it with going potty in the right place. What a great idea that is! Boxers are so smart and they really do know what words are used for what. And I have to agree that praise and treats or whatever letting them know they did a good job is really important also. I had someone tell me that boxers tend to get bored easily and when you are training them you have to almost over do it with the praise so that they will get excited about it. I did this with my little one after much agravation and time and it really worked. Now, I can tell my Jag to go out side and go pee pee like a big boy and he goes right out and does his business! I love it! I still clap my hands and say yea!!!! when he does it and get him all excited because that is what I did for so long and now it is just habbit. He is perfect about going outside now tho! It took me 6 months to train him..uugghh! I am glad that is over!
I did want to mention to you that the key words are really a big deal....people need to use them over and over....they will work. Just like sit and speak and heel and whatever else.
