I have a brand new boxer puppy. She's smart, bright and eager to learn. She's 10 weeks old. The only problem that I'm concerned about is when she gets worked up with playing, specifically with people other than myself, I find that she gets aggressive and has a tendency to snarl, growl and bite harder than she should. And it is really hard to get her to calm down afterwards. Many times I have to hold her down on the floor, belly-up, in a submissive position. However sometimes this doesn't even work, she'll get more worked up or calm down and released and go back to the same person and start tugging and biting on their clothes or snapping at hands. I don't won't to hit her because I've read that that is only going to make the behavior worse. She's a very good puppy and this behavior starts out as a puppy playing but somehow morphes into something that could be dangerous as she grows up. I would really appreciate some feed back. I don't know of anyone else in my area who owns a boxer. Thank you.
