Another development is that Terry Ward (Hinsdale) bumped up to Novice and took on Melvin at 62 at the regional. He was down 7-0 in the first period and looked like he was ready to go down in flames. By the end of the match, the score was 8-7 and it was Terry's hand that got raised.
Now that some of the dust has settled on the road to the state tournament, here are a few observations: Arlis bumped up to 66. Couldn't maintain the weight? Couldn't beat Rasche? I don't know, but I am sure he didn't count on Zinzer dropping down from 70. Zinzer tossed him around the mat like a rag doll on the way to a
16-4 decision at the Hinsdale regional. Zinzer may walk away with it all at 66.
