Several team have shown their interest in the new Monte carlo while Dodge and ford seem to have there teams signed on for next year already. While taking a tour of Lowes Motor Speedway this past weekend I spotted a few teams in the garage area after the race was over and they had brand new unpainted cars out. As i tried to gain access i was stopped my security and asked to leave speedway property. Finding another way to see what was going on i spotted two jet black 2003 pontiacs take to the track for some laps. After further investigation I discovered that the cars belong to the GM Goodwrench team of GCoffman and the Black Mamba team of Crower. This would explain why the black mamba team has been seen running a pontiac in selcted races over the last few weeks. Another topic is what series the drivers will be running next year and everyone I talked to had no comments about the issue. Several other team have been seen around at different speedways and so far this reporter has yet to get confirmation on them. Another team that has shown some of next years stuff is the Dover elevator team of Elevator. Seems that this team had been doing some engine and aero work and from what I saw its a big jump for this team. Looks like Slopoke and his team have made the switch to fords for good and the match seems to be a great one with the perfomance and aero package that ford has provided. Watch for more updates as they unfold. Thunder Struck...........
As lways the silly season is upon us and several rumors are flying around. Drivers switching rides, teams switching makes etc. As of this writing there are several drivers that haven't made there intentions clear and this reporter is hot on the case to find out more.
