At least one ref goes on record to say the truth. The ref kept blowing the whistle as Saulle had in power halfs, turning Visicaro. The ref also did not give Saulle his two point merkle and did not blow them out of bounds till 5 seconds later when Visicaro stood up and leaped backwards out of bounds.
