I agree with you. I never intended to argue that Metcalf's reaction, or that Caldwell's premature celebration were altogether wrong. I simply meant to argue that Metcalf's reaction was not a last ditch effort to score another takedown. Let's call it what it truly was: a momentary loss of control, arising out of a very, very understandable frustration from the loss. And Caldwell's premature celebration arose from a very understandable excitement over his victory and NCAA championship. Overall, it was a terrific match between two if the greatest wrestlers in recent history.
