I was shocked and disapointed in Metcalf's interview after losing to Caldwell. He was full of excuses or so called reasons he didn't win. Only briefly did he give any kind of credit to Darrion. The fact that he thought they were boing at Darrion is ridiculous. I hope he realizes by now that they were booing him. Regardless of whether it is right or wrong to do a flip with :02 seconds left the fact of the matter is that his back was turned and in the air when you pushed him and he could have broken his neck. C'mon he ran right passed you and you din't touch him and then you ran after him and had plenty of oppurtunity to go low on his legs if you wanted a takedown. Don't tell me you were being aggressive that is a crock ofs!@$ and everybody knows it. I do not think Darrion doing a flip is wrong I do however think he should have waited until the match was over. Emotions are part of this sport and when these kids work as hard as they do to earn a national title they should be able to celebrate and show there emotions without any critizism. But after watching Metcalf's interview I was embarressed for him, that was totally classless. When you lose you have to accept defeat and obviously since Metcalf doesnt lose that often he has yet to learn how to act after a loss. Also he is clearly lying if you watch the video the refeeres whistle is very clear and after the whistle metcalf pushes caldwell. So he was trying to say that he didnt know how much time was on the clock and he wrestles to the whistle. Maybe he is not lying maybe he heard the whistle and stopped wrestling and began fighting. Hey Brent there is a reason people don't like Iowa wrestling and its because of self-absorbed, unsportsmanlike, cocky, arrogant crybabies like yourself. I really hope he takes a step back and looks at this situation and learns from it, because not only do I think it will make him a better person, but also a better wrestler. Very upsetting is all I can say!
