The major point of my post is that learning to deal with a loss is very hard and Brent will carry that loss with him the rest of his life, just like many others have in the past. What makes a good man is how they deal with a loss or setback and whether they accept responsibility for it or do they pass the blame. When you lose in the sport of wrestling it is on you and only you and thats what makes wrestling great and it is also what makes it so hard for those who compete. It is how a man comes back and deals with a loss that truley measures there character. I didnt like metcalfs response to this loss but maybe it will be different next time. Because he will lose again, probably not in college but it will happen. And for a role model in our sport to act that way, well thats just upsetting to me. The sport deserves better and Brent knows that!
