Finally someone(coachcrc1010)has said what I have been thinking. After the match , during the match, in the stands, wherever... Metcalf attacked Caldwell. The result of that lash out by Metcalf could have been tragic. Does it really matter if DC celebrated too early? Grow up and try to wrap your head around the fact that DC could have had his neck or back broken. I was a Metcalf fan, although becoming less and less since the start of this past season. The post matched interview sealed it up for me. Metcalf may be the biggest ego maniac in college sports. "...were they booing me..."? That was great. If you watch interviews from his sophmore year you will see a dramatic change in his demeanor from then till now. He was much more humble his sophmore year. I think he is trying to be what Brands and the like want him to be like. He needs a personality coach. His display at the end of the match, and again during the interview was gross. Taking a team point away is a joke. He should be personally punished in some way. Congrats DC great win. Flip or no filp. Sometimes being a fan of this sport clouds our vision a bit. Metcalf was very wrong in what he did. And, if you disagree you need to step back from the situation and think about if it was you or your son who just won a National Championship and you were attacked.
