I wrestled briefly for a D3 school, and they are not permitted by the NCAA to give athletic scholarships so if you are looking for assistance via a scholarship...then D3 is not the choice for you. D2 can give $ for athletes and is usually more inclined to do so in order to sway talented wrestlers who are being pursued by D1 schools as well. Obviously D1 gives money and lots of it...the only catch here is that you have to be an elite talent...if you are not a state champ, or multiple time place winner, then it may be tough to get $....
