Prediction:
They return (9) varsity starters, including six state qualifiers and three state place winners. This doesn’t even take into account the loss of Jr. John Guzzo who was injured late in the season. When you step back and look at this line up, it becomes apparent that they are still a very good young team. When all is said and done, this junior class for High Point may go down as one of the best ever in the state. Look for wildcats to rebound from last years disappointing finish to take the top spot in Group III and the top spot in the state of NJ. There are only a few teams in the state that will stay within 10 points of this team next year. South Plainfield and Phillipsburg are two of the teams that will be looking to knock the wildcats out of the top Group III spot. In the end, I think High Point will not be denied their day in the sun.
