Prediction
South Plainfield will be tough in at least 11 weight classes. How well their freshmen fill in at the lower and middle weights will determine this teams overall success. They lost 4 solid wrestlers from their upper weights. They have been blessed with a bumper crop of stud freshmen. Tigers suffer from a situation that many coaches would envy. They have an abundance of talent. Unfortunately, they are all bunched together in the lower weights.
The coaches are hoping that a few upper classmen go through a growth spurt. In the end this is a very solid team capable of beating anyone in the state with the exception of High Point and Long Branch. They will once again vie for the North2 Group III sectional with Phillipsburg. The winner will probably meet High Point in the Group III Final.
