Manchester heavyweight Jimmy Lawson has given a verbal commitment to wrestle for Rutgers University next season. Lawson, who will attempt to become just the 2nd wrestler in NJ history to three-peat as the state champion at heavyweight this season, is currently ranked as the #19 prospect in the country by InterMat. He will join a Rutgers program that currently features several Shore Conference alumni in Scott Winston (Jackson Memorial), Lamar Brown (Red Bank Regional), Joey Langel (Howell), Vin DelleFave (TR East), Sean DeDeyn (Central), Dan and Dave Seidenberg (Raritan), as well as head coach Scott Goodale (Jackson Memorial).
