Mr. Brison stands for nothing and falls for anything. This is an example of the worst kind of so called loyal citizen of Canada. The only thing Mr. Brison seems to stand for are his political ambitions which seem to have no moral compass or direction. He seems to worship the big "ME". I hope that in the next election he gets "fired" by the voters.

He should resign his seatinstead of going to the liberals because he was not elected a liberal. Whats bad about social conservatives anyway!! Ooooh were so bad, are we the reason why crimanals rights are more important that the victims. Do we say its right for 14 year old children to consent to sexwith adults, and if they get knocked up, then make society try to correct their mistake. Do we.....and on and on I could go, but to get to the point, the liberal government (term used loosely) is why we are in this mess. And if Mr. Brison feels that the lack of social backbone the liberals expouse is more in line with his own beliefs, than here I am a PROUD SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE CONSERVATIVE waving and smiling good bye to another inept politican we do not need in this party. P.S.- Joe Clark leaving is just another bonus!!

Scott Brison is a TRAITOR. Listening to that pathetic news conference while he smiled sweetly as Paul Martin coughed up his usual lies, made me sick. I am now a former supporter of Brison. I am a Red Tory who voted for the merger and will stick with it - not roll over and lick a Liberal's boots. Shame on Brison. What a loser.

I can accept Mr. Brison's decision not to join forces with the new Conservative Party. What I can't accept is his decision, instead, to join forces with the Liberal Party, the very party that a majority of his constituents refused to support in the last election. The honourable (if that term can even be used in the same sentence as 'politician') thing to do would be to sit as an independent, voting in the best interests of his constituents until the next election and then running for the Liberal Party nomination. The acceptance of Mr. Brison by Mr. Martin and the Liberal Party only goes to illustrate the Liberal's only "value": getting elected and re-elected for as long as possible.
