Sitting Progressive Conservative MLA crosses the floor to the Alberta Alliance. Press Conference to be held Tuesday June 29, 2004 at 1:00 pm on the front steps of the Legislature The Alberta Alliance Party will be holding a press conference on Tuesday June 29, 2004 at 1:00pm on the front steps of the Alberta Legislature to introduce its first MLA who will be crossing from the Progressive Conservative Party. “It is an exciting time for the party and we are thrilled to have a sitting MLA join our party and fight for what’s right” said Randy Thorsteinson, Leader of the party. “There is no question in my mind that Ralph Klein cost Stephen Harper and the Conservative Party of Canada the election last night. His ill timed comments undermined Stephens’ efforts and lost Ontario for us. Our new MLA believes this was the last straw and that it is time for an Alberta Alliance government that will fight for Alberta and work with the federal Conservatives instead of against them” Mr. Thorsteinson concluded.
