Backyard Breeders (BYB) have mother cats who have litter after litter in the most appalling circumstances. They usually are not properly looked after by a vet and although you might be told they are 'purebred' they do not have papers to prove this. These papers show you how much work goes into producing one kitten by the registered breeder. I am sure there are others out there that can explain it better than I. The only thing I have to say in closing is that a BYB is not concerned about the cats health, feelings or worth all they considered is how much money they will get. The cat is a tool to meet this end. Where as a registered breeder loves the animals, loves hearing about past kittens and will always try to help in a crisis and I can tell you now they hardly even make any money from it. We do it for the love of our cats and breed.

Being a breeder that is registered we have to adhere to our cat council's code of ethics.
