Please help, all advise is appreciated. I am the very proud owner of 3 lovely british blue short hairs. We originially lived in Vicotria, they were outdoor cats for a few years. I recently moved to the Darwin. My babies were indoors for six months, and recently i have introduced them to the outdoors allowing a few hours in the back yard a day. They have been wonderful never try to go anywhere, very happy playing in the backyard. Now my problem is they started to bring lizards into the house, all three playing with it until it dies. I yelled at them the few times and this and it has ceased. They are now doing it out side on there short time out there. I dont constantly watch them as i am confident they wont go anywhere and the yard is secure. I have put bells on them when the go out, however i believe lizards are deaf and wont sense this. I am frustrated by them doing this, the lizards are beautiful animals and look lovely in the garden. I fully understand its in a cats nature to kill even though its not for food. I am very sick of burying dead lizards. I am also scared that if i dont break this habbit they will play with the cane toads which are nearing Darwin by the day.
Please help!
