My cat Simone is having major eye problems. They are constantly red and she is starting to itch the the top of her eyes raw. I took her to the vet and they said that her bottom eye lids are slightly tipped into her eye. Every time she blinks she is scratching her eye balls with her own fur. Is this true? Is this a bad breed because when she was real young she didn't have problems like this. The vet told me it would about a large amount in bills for surgery and that they would surgically remove the hair or the lower lid. I think it may be an infection that was never cured? Is this possible? Please help please she seems to be in so much pain that it is killing me and I don't have the money for the surgery. Plus, the vet said there is no gaurantees. Positive for Simone is that she is still playing. It isn't very often. Oh ya, sometimes it looks as if her eyes have healed and then they are terrible again.
