I'm not a breeder and no nothing even remotely similar has ever happened to me. However, I would recommend you contact Fair Trading and put your situation to them - you can do this on-line now and it is very convenient and they do respond within about five days. At the very least they would be able to suggest an appropriate person/body to contact with the situation. I think it is best to be 'armed' so to say and know where you would legally stand. From a 'lay' persons perspective I think you were very reasonable and she was being very difficult - I wonder if you had a female available for her, if she wouldn't have found some other excuse for not wanting it either? Seems like she's just decided to get money - maybe being a furmum wasn't her ideal situation and she's changed her mind??
