Karent, I think you are being more than generous with your current offer. In truth i believe, you actually owe this lady nothing. But being a responsible breeder of good morals, you've offered a replacement at half price, plus other alternatives at a cost to yourself. This kitten did not die as a result of an inherited defect, or a disease or virus brought from your cattery. The kitten died as a result of a very sad accident, which in all actuality is her own fault, not yours. If I was in your possition I would clearly state the paragraph above to her and if she is not prepared to wait for a female kitten, tell her to go to buggery. You are trying to be more than resonable and she can't see it. I would whipe my hands and walk away knowing you tried to do the right thing. You yourself will know that better than anyone else.
