Salmonella is a bacteria that causes diarrhoea.The symptoms of Salmonella manifest between 48 and 72 hours after ingestion in an adult human, but in a small cat the onset would be more rapid. It's hardly your fault if puss got it from a mouse in HER kitchen. I don't think you owe this woman anything.
