A late addition to the scrimmage schedule had Cambridge hosting Bellaire St. John today at 1pm with the Lady Cats coming out on top by a 7 - 2 score. Paige Young pitched the first 6 innings, giving up 4 hits and recording 6 strikeouts, while Summer Allen finished the final 3 innings with 4 strikeouts and one hit given up.
Offensively for the Cats, Carly Kehn had 2 doubles and a single, Lacie Mahley and Sarah Starr each recorded a double and single, and Chanel Ford added a double.
The Cats open their season by hosting Shenandoah on Tuesday with game time at 5:00pm.
