The softball team opened their season with a win over Shenandoah tonight by a 7 - 0 score. Paige Young went the distance for the Lady Cats, giving up just 3 hits and notching 7 strike-outs.
The Cats were paced offensively by Sarah Starr with a single and triple, Lacie Mahley added 2 singles and 2 RBI's, Carly Kehn had a triple and 2 RBI's, Maggie Starr had a double, Megan Tharp singled. Additional RBI's were recorded by Chanel Ford, Paige Young, and Janelle Givens.
The Lady Cats will open league play tomorrow night at 5pm at Diamond 4 as they host New Philadelphia.
