The Lady Cats picked up a win at New Philly by a score of 11-5, but saw their win streak come to an end in Wheeling as the Patriots topped the Cats by a 6-0 margin in the nightcap.
In the first game, Cambridge spotted pitcher Summer Allen 8 runs in the first inning while sending 12 batters to the plate. They added single runs in the 2nd, 5th, and 7th innings to seal the win. New Philly tallied one run in the 3rd and four runs in the 6th. Allen gave up 8 hits, 2 walks, a hit batter, and recorded 5 strikeouts. Summer's varsity record moves to 3-0 on the season while the Cats moved to 14-0.

Game 2 got under way around 8:30pm after the 1.5 hour bus ride from New Philly. Cambridge threatened to score in the first as Sarah Starr and Lacie Mahley reached on errors and Janelle Givens walked, but Patriots pitcher Mary Hohman recorded her second strikeout of the inning and saw another batter ground out. Sarah Starr knocked a single up the middle in the 5th inning to record the only hit off of the Patriots' ace as the Lady Cats record moved to 14 - 1. Paige Young took the loss, giving up 7 hits and 2 walks. Her record is now 11 - 1.
Cambridge travels to Barnesville today for a more traditional double-header. The first game kicks off at noon.
