The long bus ride could have been a factor, but Wheeling Park has one of the best, if not the best, pitcher in WVa.
The reason for scheduling this double-header is due to the OVAC rule that 10 OVAC games must be played by the end of the day on April 19 in order to be eligible for the OVAC tournament. Wheeling Park is an OVAC opponent.
We all wish the scheduling process could have been a little more convenient, but you do what you have to in order to make it into the tournament.
