I've seen a lot of sports in my 52 years, but last nights effort by Sarah may have been the single greatest performance by an athlete that I've ever witnessed. She had a "refuse to lose " attitude and simply loaded the team, the coaches, the fans and the bus on her shoulders and carried them to victory. It's pretty tough for a shortstop to dominate a game but there is no doubt that she is an IMPACT player.
At the beginning of the 9th inning when the infielders met at the mound Sarah told Paige Young the pitcher, "don't worry, we're gonna score this inning", Young said you're up aren't you, and Sarah just smiled.
The plays she makes offensively and defensively make me shake my head in amazement and I'm glad she's a Bobcat.
