COSHOCTON—The Cambridge High boys’ soccer team was defeated 6-0 in East Central Ohio League play by Coshocton on Tuesday.
Bobcat goalie Matt Drotovick’s 18 saves were not enough to keep the Redskins at bay, with Drew Aker, Jason Milliken, Griffin Bryant and Lucas Dunlap of Coshocton recording a goal each and Ryan Schutt collecting two.
Cambridge (2-9-1) attempted seven shots-on-goal, while Coshocton peppered Drotovick with 25 tries.
Coshocton goalie John Tignor picked up seven stops in the net.
NEXT—Cambridge heads to John Glenn on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
CAMBRIDGE—In what Cambridge High coach Tim Carr called “ a hard-fought defensive battle,” the Lady Bobcats dropped a 1-0 decision to East Central Ohio League opponent Coshocton at home on Tuesday.
Coshocton (8-1-2, 3-1 ECOL) scored its lone goal when Nicki Carling snuck one past Bobcat keeper Paige Carpenetti in the 63rd minute.
“It was a shame we lost by one goal, especially after we controlled most of the game,” Carr remarked.
Cambridge (4-7-1, 1-5 ECOL) had the advantage in shots-on-goal, tallying 12 to Coshocton’s 10, while Carpenetti was able to register eight saves.
Karlee Arnett had 10 saves for Coshocton.
NEXT— Cambridge travels to John Glenn at noon on Saturday.
What we allow, we encourage.
