STEUBENVILLE — Steubenville Catholic Central at 12-2-1 picked up the top seed at the Division II Sectional at Harding Stadium. St. Clairsville, with a record of 8-2-2, then garnered the second seed.
Cambridge (4-9-1) was tabbed the No. 7 seed and will open sectional play in the pigtail game of the bottom bracket facing No. 6 seed Edison (5-7-1) on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 12:10 p.m.
Other Saturday action will pit No. 1 Steubenville Catholic against No. 9 Carrollton (3-11-1) in a 2:20 p.m. contest to be followed by No. 4 East Liverpool (4-4-2) against No. 5 Minerva (5-8-2) at 4:30 p.m.
On Monday, Oct. 19, No. 2 seed St. Clairsville will play No. 8 Ridgewood (4-3-2) at 5:30 p.m. The second game on Monday will have the Cambridge/Edison winner facing No. 3 Beaver Local (6-6-3).
On Thursday, Oct. 22, the Steubenville Catholic/Carrollton winner will square off with the East Liverpool/Minerva winner at 5:30 p.m. for one berth in district play at Philo High School to face the Philo upper bracket winner.
The other finals contest between the St. Clairsville/Ridgewood winner and the winner of the Beaver Local/Cambridge/Edison winner will be played at 7:40 p.m. on Oct. 22, with that winner also advancing to the Philo District to meet the Philo sectional lower bracket winner.
