The 'Cats and Colts square off in the District title game Saturday at West Lafayette Ridgewood (1:00 pm).
Cambridge (21-3) has defeated the Colts (19-8) twice this season.
Meadowbrook advanced to the District title game with a five-game win over Minerva.
After losing the first two games of their Division II Sectional co-final match against Minerva (12-13), the Meadowbrook Lady Colts rallied back to win, 15-25, 24-26, 25-23, 25-21 and 15-11.
Cambridge extended its season Saturday evening, sweeping Steubenville (13-10) in three games, 25-15, 25-22, 25-12, to capture the Division II Sectional championship.
The winner will advance to the D-II Regional Tournament.
Varsity Football
The 'Cats travel to cross-county rival Byesville Meadowbrook Friday and have a lot on the line.
First, we never want to lose to rival Meadowbrook. A Meadowbrook win would make their season. Going out with a win would mean so much for our seniors.
Secondly, the 'Cats are playing for a non-losing season. Coming in at 4-5 a win would put the 'Cats at .500 on the season.
Thirdly, the 'Cats (4-5, 2-3 ECOL) and Colts (2-7, 2-3 ECOL) are tied for fourth place in the ECOL. The loser falls to fifth.
Go 'Cats! Beat Meadowbrook!
