a lot of his books have been influenced by other things, particularly other writers. he gets bad press quite often for this, but if you notice within his books, he always ackowledges where the inspiration has come to him from. i think the main one i can remember is in The Eternal Enemy, there are blatant references within that to 2001; Space Odyssey and various other works.Plus has anyone noticed how the main characters sister is pretty much always called Anne? I don't know, it's been a while since i've read the teen ones (i know i'm disloyal) but i just adore The Season Of Passage and The Listeners. Especially The Listeners, has anyone else read it? All the stuff in it about Tribal Rituals involving twins is all true, and about twins with red hair being a catalyst for deep hypnotic past life regression....very very cool!
